CROSSCUTTING ISSUES :

The college has been aiming to promote students' overall growth. All pharmacy programmes now require a variety of courses, including Human Values and Professional Ethics and Environmental Studies, to address topics like gender equality, sustainability, and human values and ethics. Open electives include classes on disaster management, non-conventional energy sources, and other topics.

 

Human values and professional Ethics:

 

The university offers two courses on these topics as credit courses during the academic terms for all pharmacy in an effort to instil Moral, Social, and Ethical principles. These classes aid students in developing a global perspective on their job, society, and self. It places a strong emphasis on having a comprehensive understanding of moral behaviour, as well as on being trustworthy and understanding of others. In order to promote national integrity, human values, and communal harmony, the college also holds blood donation camps, eye camps and awareness programmes in the adjacent villages.

 

 

Environment and Sustainability:



National Service Scheme

 

The university also has a vibrant NSS building that encourages students to participate in programs such as tree planting, Svacch Bharat Abhiyan, and raise awareness about renewable energy sources, water and electricity conservation. The university's Eco Club hosts an annual Eco Week with a guest speaker on environmental awareness and an emphasis on the importance of protecting the environment.

 

 

Gender Sensitization:

 

The Human Values and Professional Ethics course includes a Social Responsibility unit that teaches citizenship and virtue, emphasizing issues related to the dignity of women at home and in the workplace. There will be discussions, debates and guest lectures on gender awareness. International Women's Day is celebrated each year with active student participation. Special lectures are also available to encourage women to explore opportunities in science and technology.
